pastor’s welcome

A Word From The Pastor

Welcome to The Bridge Community Church.  I’m glad you’re visiting!

When God first called us to start The Bridge, I said, “Lord, how is this possible?”  My wife, Jenny, and I had four young children at the time–one with a developmental disability.  Life was very demanding already, and the thought of starting a new church seemed next to impossible.  But what was impossible for us was possible for God.

God was so faithful.  First, he gave us a vision.  This new church would be a “bridge” to connect people to God and to each other.  Next, God assembled a team of people to get this new venture off the ground.   Seventeen of us met for in our living room to pray, study the Scriptures, and dream about this new church together. Then, after six months we decided to hold our first public worship service to see if we should go forward–and over 170 attended.  We knew then that God was telling us, “Go forward!”  Finally, in May of 2009, The Bridge Community Church was successfully launched into the Bay Area and beyond.

Since that time The Bridge has thrived as a real and personal community in Christ.  We are a place where broken people can worship an incredible God and find hope and healing for their lives.  We know that God wants to meet you personally and do the impossible in your life.  We hope you get to experience him here at The Bridge.

I hope you visit this Sunday.     Jenny and I would LOVE to meet you!

Blessings to you,
Pastor Andy Fitzgerald
