Excellent Kids and Youth Ministry

Kids are important at The Bridge!  Jesus said, Let the children come unto me.  The Bridge kids and youth minstries are designed to follow Jesus’s words by giving your child the best possible experience with God and others.  3007681870_6db037cf11_z

BridgeKids is for kids from toddlers to elementary school.  Through BridgeKids, your child will benefit from an age-appropriate curriculum that is centered on God’s Word.  Your child will learn to apply the Bible in a way that captures the imagination and shapes his or her character. BridgeKids has loving and well-prepared instructors who create an environment that is safe, fun, and inclusive of all kids and their learning styles.

BridgeKids is divided into two groups:

  • Toddlers – Pre-Kindergarten
  • Kindergarten – 5th Grade

Youth Ministry–Wild Fire

In addition to BridgeKids, we also have a Youth Ministry called Wild Fire.  Wild Fire is for junior and senior high students.  They pray, sing, hear God’s word together and have a great time doing it.  Wild Fire meets every Tuesday from 8-9:30 PM.  Wild Fire also hosts retreats and attends conferences each year.

For more information on BridgeKids or Wild Fire, contact us at info@thebridgesanjose.org.

“Family Sundays” at The Bridge

i-j953Cpw-LThe fourth Sunday of every month is “Family Sunday” at The Bridge.  During Family Sunday, we celebrate Communion together as entire congregation–kids and adults.  After the service, stick around to enjoy a churchwide potluck.  Research has shown that children who worship with their parents are more likely to continue in the faith than those who don’t.  The Bridge provides a community that supports children and their family to grow in the grace and strength of God.

Join us for our next Family Sunday at the end of this month.  It’s a great time to worship, learn, eat and sing together.

Adopt Your Street

You can change the spiritual climate of your city through the Adopt Your Street initiative.  Adopt Your Street is a simple yet powerful way for you to do “prayer evangelism” in your neighborhood.  By adopting a particular street (or streets), you can apply the 4-step process of transformation, based on Luke 10.  It is: to Bless, Serve, Fellowship, and Proclaim.  The Bridge would like to partner with you to see every street in the Bay Area covered in prayer and reached with the good news of Jesus.  God can use you to reach your community.  To find out more and to register your designated street, click here. You can also start prayer-walking your street today by downloading the AdoptYourCity app from your app store. Adopt_Your_Street

“Family Sundays” at The Bridge

On the fourth Sunday of every month The Bridge celebrates “Family Sunday”.  During Family Sundays kids and adults worship together for the entire hour.  Research has shown that children who worship with their parents are more likely to continue in their faith when they become adults than those children who learned separate from their parents.  Kids grow more when they see their parents worship God and participate along with them.

Therefore,  we have especially designed our forth Sundays for kids and adults to worship, learn and enjoy God together.  Kids sing and share along with the parents.  Kids will hear a Sunday message that is applicable for both them and their parents.  Kids are given markers, crayons, and large sheets of paper where they are encouraged to draw pictures of what they are hearing or learning.  We also celebrate Communion together on forth Sundays.  Finally, after the service, the church enjoys a community potluck together.

Our fourth Sunday services help to build a strong community where everyone grows in the Lord together.

Communion at The Bridge

The Bridge participates in Holy Communion on the forth Sunday of every month.  Communion is open to any person who has confessed Jesus as his or her Savior and Lord and has been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Communion is the fullest expression of our faith as we partake in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ–the Savior of the World.
